Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is seeking passionate and community-focused Junior Fundraisers to join our Regional Fundraising Team. Opportunities are available across multiple regions throughout the UK, supporting local fundraising activities, community engagement, events and campaigns that help generate vital income for Islamic Relief's humanitarian and development work worldwide.

Job Purpose

The Junior Fundraiser will support the delivery of regional fundraising activities, helping to engage communities, volunteers and supporters in raising vital funds for Islamic Relief's humanitarian work. Working as part of a busy regional fundraising team, you will assist with events, campaigns, collections and donor engagement activities, ensuring supporters receive an excellent experience while contributing to the achievement of fundraising targets.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Experience working in a similar role or within a customer-focused environment.
• Experience working under pressure, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge and understanding of local communities and community engagement.
• Experience supporting activities that contribute towards organisational objectives.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate events and activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, volunteers, donors and supporters.
• Good numeracy skills and experience recording financial information accurately.
• The ability to handle confidential information appropriately and sensitively.
• The confidence to represent Islamic Relief professionally at events and community engagements.
• Experience, or a willingness to support, volunteer coordination and fundraising activities.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Strong motivation and commitment towards the aims and objectives of Islamic Relief.
• A proactive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
