Location: Milton Keynes / Hybrid
Hours: 36.5 hours per week, including one evening per week up to 8pm and, after an initial period, one Saturday per month
Contract: Permanent

About the role
This is a people-focused role for someone who enjoys picking up the phone, starting conversations and building genuine relationships.
You don't need previous legacy fundraising experience. You could come from customer service, account management, telesales, supporter care, fundraising or another relationship-focused role. What's important is that you're confident speaking with people, motivated by achieving results and excited by the opportunity to work for a charity.
You'll build relationships with existing supporters, helping them understand the difference they can make through their ongoing support and the possibility of leaving a gift in their Will. You'll manage your own portfolio of supporters, developing relationships from initial conversations through to longer-term engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Making proactive outbound calls to existing supporters and having warm, engaging conversations.
- Building trusted relationships and understanding what motivates individual supporters.
- Talking sensitively and confidently about legacy giving and the impact of leaving a gift in a Will.
- Following up supporter campaigns, mailings and events by telephone.
- Sharing inspiring stories about the difference supporters can make.
- Providing excellent supporter care through telephone calls, emails, letters, cards and other personalised communications.
- Working towards agreed targets for calls, engagement and fundraising outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and managing your own workload and supporter portfolio.
- Occasionally supporting events around the UK and meeting supporters face-to-face.
About you
Above all, you'll be someone who really enjoys talking to people.
You'll be a natural relationship builder with excellent listening and questioning skills and the confidence to guide a conversation towards an outcome. You'll be comfortable making outbound calls and working towards targets, while ensuring every conversation remains personal, respectful and supporter-focused.
You'll also be organised, comfortable using a CRM or database and able to manage your workload with minimal supervision.
Experience could come from customer service, account management, telesales, fundraising, supporter engagement or relationship management – previous charity or legacy experience isn't essential.
About the organisation
You'll be joining an established international charity working to improve the lives of vulnerable children, families and communities around the world.
This is an opportunity to take the relationship-building skills you've developed elsewhere and use them for something with real purpose – helping supporters understand the lasting difference their generosity can make.
Other roles you may have experience of could include: Customer Relationship Executive, Customer Service Advisor, Account Manager, Relationship Manager, Telesales Executive, Supporter Care Officer, Supporter Engagement Officer, Telephone Fundraiser, Fundraising Officer, Membership Officer, Donor Care Officer or Legacy Fundraiser.
