Carer Engagement and Training officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is resourceful and willing to get “stuck in” to represent the voice and needs of unpaid carers in Wiltshire County and the surrounding area.

 

Position: Carer Involvement and Training Officer

Location: Wiltshire

Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week

Salary: £23,541 – £25,991 pro rata

 

Closing Date: 8th November 12pm

 

The Role

The Carer Involvement and Training Officer will be part of a highly skilled team that continuously strives to improve the lives of unpaid carers and their loved ones.

 

Your main duties as Carer involvement and training officer are:

  • To manage the charity’s carer involvement and engagement work, manage requests from internal and external sources for carer input, and plan and monitor attendance at carer groups
  • To facilitate, co-ordinate and develop a broad range of carers’ groups across Wiltshire, and facilitate Wiltshire Carers Forum (WCF) meetings
  • To source and manage carer training, working with training providers across the county to ensure quality training is provided.

 

About You

As Carer Involvement and Training Officer, you will have knowledge of health and safety, in particular undertaking risk assessments. With a commitment to high quality Carer focused services and an understanding of carer’s needs and issues, you will have an organized approach to work.
