Business Development Manager

We are now looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to grow the organisation’s annual budget by expanding its base of income across Local authorities, Opportunity Areas and Multi-Academy Trusts and Corporate partnerships across the UK.

Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Remote/flexible (access to a central London office if required)
Salary: £29 – £40k depending on experience (there are two roles available 1x Junior and 1x Senior post)
Hours: Full-time
Duration: Permanent

About the Role
The programmes team are currently working to deliver large county-wide programmes, supporting 100s schools, in addition to recently being announced as a delivery partner of London Violence Reduction Unit’s Inclusive and Nurturing Schools Programme over the next three years.

As Senior Business Development Manager you will secure new and deliver existing funding from a range of sources including local authorities, opportunity areas and multi-academy trusts and corporate partnerships and to grow mutually beneficial partnerships with these organisations
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Income generation
- Account management
- Relationship Management
- Internal and external communications
- Market and funder research and intelligence
- Written/verbal reporting to board, Executive and CEO
About You
We are looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager, with a good understanding of the education/charity sector and have networking and relationship building experience across the education sector.
Essential skills and experience include:
- Strong grounding in income generation across different income streams
- Good experience of fundraising within a not for profit environment
- Excellent written communication skills
- Adept at writing and producing evaluation reports on activity
- Good negotiation skills, including diplomacy and partnership building
Ideally you will also have an appreciation and understanding of the impact of mental health, emotional and wellbeing upon children and young people learning, as well as experience in the education sector.
